This spectacle is a ritual that takes place when the gates of the afterlife open. It is then that the travellers of the darkness cross the tunnel between life and death, to collect the souls lost along the way.
"The Tunnel of Lost Souls".
On the darkest nights, when the moon is hidden behind a veil of clouds and the stars are barely twinkling, an extraordinary phenomenon occurs. The gates of the afterlife are opened, revealing a secret passage between the realms of life and death. This passage, known as "The Tunnel of Lost Souls", is travelled by travellers from the darkness.
The travellers are enigmatic beings, dressed in black robes that seem to absorb the light. Their eyes glow with an unearthly intensity, and their footsteps are as silent as the wind. They cross the threshold with determination, as if fulfilling an ancient promise.
Their mission is to collect the lost souls that wander in the gloom. Souls that did not find their way to the light or descend into the abyss. Souls that were trapped in limbo, whispers forgotten in the wind.
With ethereal hands, the travellers touch the foreheads of lost souls. In that instant, the souls remember their past lives: broken loves, broken dreams, unspoken secrets. Tears flow, and the souls are freed from their burden. The travellers guide them into the tunnel, where light and darkness intertwine.
The tunnel is a corridor of dancing shadows and lights. Souls walk towards their final destination, where they will be judged for their earthly deeds. Some find redemption and ascend towards the light, while others sink into darkness. The travellers watch in silence, witnesses to an eternal cycle.
As dawn tints the sky, the gates of the beyond slowly close. The travellers return to the abyss, their faces unperturbed. But in their eyes, perhaps, is reflected the sadness of the souls they left behind. The Tunnel of Lost Souls awaits its next opening, and the travellers will continue their eternal pilgrimage between worlds.
"What's going on?"
The crowd around them is fascinated. Their faces reflect a mixture of awe and excitement. Some spectators are so close that they can feel the heat of the fire on their faces. Others watch from a safe distance, but all are mesmerised by the skill of the performers.
The crackling sound of the fire mixes with the background music that accompanies the show. The shadows of the performers are cast on the walls of the buildings, creating a magical and mysterious atmosphere.
"A street performance combines danger and art in an impressive way. It is an ephemeral moment that brings the community together and leaves a lasting impression on those who witness it".
